Boat Rides & Rowing Skiffs

Please note that all on-water programs are weather-dependent, and the Museum reserves the right to cancel and re-book boat rides.

Row a St. Lawrence Skiff for Free!

Those seeking a more tranquil experience on the water can take a quiet row in a traditional St. Lawrence Skiff on the protected waters of French Creek Bay. During the summer months of July and August, attendants are on hand daily in the Skiff Livery to help you get on the water. Use of the skiffs is included with Museum admission, but donations to help with the upkeep of the boats are gratefully accepted.
Our skiffs vary in size, but 2-3 people is a comfortable crew for one boat.
