The Antique Boat Museum is partnering with Hawn Memorial Library for two, 3-day workshops to teach youth about their St. Lawrence River heritage. Students will begin their day at the Library. Through the use of books, historical posters, and historical post cards students will gather information on skiffs and brainstorm ideas for their own projects. After lunch each day, students will walk to the Antique Boat Museum to build their own model skiff. Also included is skiff rowing and a tour of the Museum. On the final day, students will launch their completed skiffs. Students in grades 3-5 can sign up for one session. Participants must bring their own lunch. There is NO CHARGE for this program.
